The Ra 120 was a VHF FM manpack set developed in the early 1950s and used in the Swedish Forces for short range communication. In addition to a vertical rod which is mounted on a base fitted on the set, a separate fixed aerial with 50 ohm feeder can be connected to a coaxial socket on the front panel. A complete station comprise principally the Ra 120 with battery and a second load of two spare batteries. The Ra 120 can be used to work to radio station Ra 100 and has an indication of 9 channels marked on the tuning dial.
