Wireless Set No. 46

- Wireless Set No. 46 was principally used for communication during beach landing operations.
- It has three pre-set crystal controlled channels.
- The set is completely waterproof.
- The set is self contained and is carried by one man.
- Battery is similar as used with Wireless Sets No. 18 and No. 68.

Accessories
In the canvas Battery Carrier, which is normally strapped to the operator's back, one operational battery and a spare battery are carried.
Junction Box No. 1 (Wireless Set No. 46), is fixed on the outside of the Battery Carrier and has a cable harness for connecting to the No. 46 Set (dark brown cable),
two microphone and headgear assemblies and an internal cable for connection to the battery.

The aerial circuit of the No. 46 Set matches only a 7ft 6in aerial. Longer aerials must be connected using the Aerial Adaptor Unit.
Two taps are provided: terminal F for connecting a 16ft type "F" rod, and terminal L for connecting Long" aerials exceeding 20ft in length.

Plug-in coil unit for Wireless Set No. 46. The frequency coverage of the No. 46 Set is divided in 4 ranges selected by plug-in coils:
7.9-9.1MHz (Yellow), 6.4-7.6MHz (White), 5-6MHz (Blue) and 3.6-4.3MHz (Red).
