Wireless Set No. 62 was based on the Wireless Set No. 22 specifications and resembles slightly to it.
The circuit compared to the No. 22 Set differs completely.
- Set is lightweight and self contained.
- Case is tropicalised and immersion proof.
- MO control or crystal operation.
- Two selectable spot frequencies (blue and red).
- High tension is obtained from miniature dynamotor fitted under the chassis.
- Powered by 12 V accumulator.
- Manufactured and developed by Pye Radio Ltd and issued early 1945.

Accessories
Wireless Remote Control Unit L No. 2. Remote Unit)
This unit (incorporated in a Morse key) was used at the remote end of a line to operate the set from a remote position.
A separate microphone and headphones are connected to the unit.
The slotted terminals are connected to the line.
Wireless Remote Control Unit L No. 1. (Local Unit)
This unit is connected to one of the drop-leads of the No. 62 Set.
A standard headgear assembly is connected to the snatch socket of the local unit.
Key and Plug Assembly No. 19 used with Wireless Set No. 62.
The key is plugged into one of the drop-leads on the set provided for headgear assemblies.
A second headgear assembly may be plugged into the snatch socket fitted at the back of the key.
